Paris Saint-Germain have signed Barcelona starlet Kais Ruiz, according to Catalan daily Sport.
Barcelona are currently facing a FIFA-imposed sanction because of irregularities in their signing of underage players as a result, several youth players in the Catalan side’s academy have been badly impacted.
The Blaugrana have also been barred from registering new signings until the sanction is lifted in January next year, a ban that has meant that this summer’s signings Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will not be able to play for the club before 2016.
Ruiz is one of the players who has not been able to play for Barcelona since 2014 and has chosen to continue his football education in France with Paris Saint-Germain.
The youngster is of French origin and has drawn comparisons with Barcelona icon Lionel Messi.
The 12-year-old joined Barcelona at the age of seven, but has now departed for Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's first team are on a pre-season tour of the United States and are due to play LA Galaxy today.
