Barcelona pencil in Manchester City Champions League clash as Lionel Messi's comeback game

Barcelona are adapting Lionel Messi's rehab so that he is fit to face Manchester City next month.

The Argentina international injured his groin on Wednesday night during his side's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.
Scans have since shown that the forward has torn an adductor muscle by just over 2 centimetres and he is scheduled to be out for at least three weeks.
Indeed, according to Marca, Barcelona have now pinpointed their clash with Manchester City in the Champions League as Messi's comeback date.

The pair are due to face each other on October 19 at the Nou Camp and Luis Enrique is desperate to have his star
man available.

As a result the Barca boss has reportedly instructed the club's physios to tailor Messi's rehab so that he is fully fit for the match with Manchester City.
