After the midweek draw with Atlético Madrid, FC Barcelona got back to winning ways in their tricky trip to El Molinón against Sporting Gijón.With Leo Messi out through injury, it was up to Luis Enrique’s abundant squad to show they could handle the challenge in the absence of their talisman, and they delivered with devastating efficiency.

The starting right back in the 5-0 win at Sporting, Sergi Roberto, was all smiles after the game. And so he deserved to be after providing assists to both Rafinha and Arda Turan, as well as being involved in the build-up to Neymar Jr’s first. "I feel more and more comfortable at right back" he told the media. "I’m learning all about the attacking and defensive responsibilities."

The communication also insisted that the manager, Eduardo Bauza had no "bad intention" and that the comments were "unfortunate". Vives went on to say that the AFA, and Barça, express their keenness to "work so that Leo Messi recuperates as quickly as possible because, as Luis Enrique said, "Messi is a global ambassador for football".
