Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez won't be coming back to the Premier League anytime soon. Which is just as well, because reports had been linking Suarez with a move to Manchester United!
Such a move would be unthinkable to Liverpool fans, who worshipped the Uruguayan forward during his time at Anfield. Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 games for the Reds.
And such a move has proven to be unthinkable for Barcelona too, whose club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has insisted that the centre-forward will not be leaving the Catalan giants any time soon.
"We read, we listen, we see this news, but of course, our interest in this particular case is that Luis Suarez is happy at Barcelona," the president told Sky Sports .
“We are trying to extend his contract with Barcelona.
"He is one of our big future efforts because he is still young, he has a vision, a lot of ambition.
