Barcelona vs Manchester City: How to watch Champions League football for free on BT Sport Showcase

It is perhaps the highlight of the Champions League group stage and on Wednesday night you will be able to watch Pep Guardiola lead his Manchester City side out at the Nou Camp whether you are a BT Sport customer or not.

Barcelona’s Champions League clash with Manchester City will be one of two matches shown on BT Sport Showcase this week, along with Manchester United vs Fenerbahce in the Europa League the following night.
Those with Freeview can watch both matches on BT Sport Showcase (channel 59) whilst the games will also be on BT TV (409), Sky (414) and Virgin (100/548). BTsport.com will also show the fixtures.
Manchester City face back-to-back matches with the Spanish champions in the coming weeks and currently sit two points off Barcelona after being held to a draw away to Celtic.
Wednesday’s match will not be Pep Guardiola’s first stint in the opposition dugout; he lost 3-0 to the eventual European champions when managing Bayern Munich in the 2015 Champions League semi-finals. The game will, however, see Claudio Bravo return to the Nou Camp after his £17million summer move to the Etihad whilst Nolito will be facing the side he played for between 2008 and 2011.
Fenerbahce’s trip to Old Trafford on Thursday could also see Robin van Persie reunited with his former Manchester United team-mates.
Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “We want as many people as possible to experience BT Sport’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, with some of the best players in the world on show.  That’s why we’re making these two games available to watch for free on TV and online.”
